Hotmail account doesn’t exist
There are three possibilities when you can get the message ‘Hotmail account doesn’t exist’ :
- Not signed in for more than 270 days via a web browser or within the first 10 days after signing up via a web browser for an account
- Primary alias has been removed from the account
- Incorrect email address types
Let me show you how the screen will look like when you will get this error message ‘Hotmail account doesn’t exist’.
Not signed in for more than 270 days
So if the account has been deleted because of non-usage, in that case, you can create a new email account with the same email address and it will let you create a new email account with the same email address.
But unfortunately, you won’t be able to get the previous email on the account or any other data, like saved drafts or sent emails or any files or folders. It will be a fresh email account.
Primary alias has been removed
If the primary alias has been removed from the account in that case you have to add the alias again to activate the email address.
If you are not able to add the alias to the account, in that case, the email address will be available after 30 days, but you have to create a new account using the old alias.
To reach this screen logon to your email account then click on the setting icon. The last option is “view all Outlook settings” click on it.
Then click on Sync email option, under Sync email, you will see Email aliases click on manage or choose a primary alias.
Incorrect email address
This is the easiest among all because you just need to check the email address and retype the correct email address to log in to your account.
