How to remove all the trusted devices associated with Microsoft account
If you have added a device to your trusted device, in that case, it will not ask for the verification code to access the security info.
Also, you can change the password on your trusted device without code verification.
After removing all the devices on every login it will ask for a password on every device.
To ensure the complete security one can follow the below check (in addition) to prevent any unauthorized sign-in activity
- Check Recent Sign-in activity
- Create an Account Recovery Code
- Enable two-step verification
- Check the list of block senders
- Check the rules created in Microsoft account
Steps to remove all the trusted devices associated with Microsoft account.
Log-in to your Microsoft account and select manage account option from the top right corner, then click on protect your account under security.
It will give 4 option under security basics
- Sign-in activity
- Password Security
- Security contact info
- More security options
Select the last option which is more security options
On this page, you will get the option trusted devices, remove all the trusted devices associated with my account click on it and it will remove all the devices.
However, this should be done only when you have access to the security contact info else it will lock you out from the email account.
How to add a trusted device
- Log in to the Microsoft account and click on manage account
- Select devices
- Select Don’t see your device? and follow the instructions.
Once the device is added to the trusted device it will not ask for a code for any security update from that device.
